It’s been a year since the TaiG team has released a jailbreak for the iOS 8.1.3 to 8.3. How did we find out about this? The Reddit user SaurikIT claimed he received a text message through which he was announced of the release. At the same time, the message said that the Subtrate does not work. He even asked the team to fix this for the fans who love jailbreaking. However, at the moment the team asked him to find a solution for this, since he is also part of the jailbreaking industry.
Naturally, since the team asked him this, the user felt rather pressured. However, the response from the other Reddit users was quite nice. They reassured him that the entire community is appreciating the efforts jailbreakers make for them.
At the moment, people were quite upset that the Cydia Substrate was not updated yet. This meant that 99% of the things on Cydia won’t work.
Downloading the Jailbreak
The most important thing here is to make sure that you are downloading the jailbreak from a secure website. The safest bet is to head over to the official website: http://www.taig.com/en/ and download from there. You have to be aware that there are lots of websites that are scams and that try to trick you into downloading some other software that can even be malicious.
In general, it is always a good idea to backup all your information before attempting a jailbreak. Turn off the passcode and the Find My iPhone feature before jailbreaking. If you happen to see a warning related to your storage being almost full, you should run Cydia.
In case the jailbreak fails, you should turn off Wi-Fi and then try again. If it still fails, you should head to TaiG Pro in order to restore and try to jailbreak again.
