Currently, Apple is working on the technology for the new 2017 iPad Pro 2. In the meantime, Microsoft is preparing for us the Surface Pro 5, and both devices are equally anticipated by people all over the world. However, which one ranks better?
The 2017 model of the iPad Pro 2 will be lighter and thinner than the rest of the Apple iPad devices by just 0.3 mm. Moreover, it will have specs that resemble more a laptop than a tablet, such the A10X processor that boosts its performance. The RAM memory is also going to increase, together with the space of the internal memory.
At the same time, the Surface Pro 5 should come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 635 CPU, a bigger battery and extra LTE signal. It will also come with a Surface Pen that can be charged wirelessly when you attach it to the tablet. Besides this, there aren’t many changes as compared to the previous version.
Release Date, Price
The Surface Pro 5 is expected to arrive towards the end of this year and it should be priced around $999. At the same time, the iPad Pro 2 might see its release at the WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) event, which will take place in June. Also then we might see the release of the next major version of the iOS, version 11. Apple did not say anything about the price for the device, but if they keep it in the same range as before, this might mean that the iPad Pro 2 may reach $799 for the 32 GB base version, and can reach $1229 for the 256 GB one with Wi-Fi and Cellular.
All in all, we can’t really say that one of the models is bad in any way. They both perform excellently, but it all depends on each person’s needs and preferences.
