Sundar Pichai, the new CEO of Google has made his first major round of appointments and promotions especially at the ads and Android divisions elevating some new guards in order to fill in the ranks.
Also, Hiroshi Lockheimer has now become the Senior Vice President of Chromecast, Chrome OS and Android operations. And Neal Mohan, the vice president of video and display advertising, is now promoted to the SVP (senior vice present) of these two categories by Sundar Pichai. Though the company is mainly known as the biggest search engine and got reorganization for it, but the video and display ad businesses will be a huge force.
Google Executive Dave Burke, who revealed the new Nexus phones in the first week of this month, also got promoted. Now he will be given more responsibilities for Android.
Another high ranking appointment made by Sundar Pichai is the promotion of Philip Schindler as the Senior Vice President for Google’s Global Sales and Operations. Currently Philip Schindler is shouldering the responsibility of an ads VP at Google.
