Spotify is one of the world’s most amazing music libraries and the desktop version is finally going live. Obviously, there already is a web player available for Spotify fans who want to use it on their desktop PC but now, we are finally getting an official version. This is amazing news for people who love listening to the latest songs because Spotify is filled with a virtually endless list of songs that keeps on growing.
Spotify Desktop App
The first thing we need to mention about the desktop version of Spotify is that there aren’t that many differences in comparison with the web player. The folks at Spotify knew that the new app doesn’t need any “groundbreaking” features in order to be appealing and they stuck with what works.
What we mean by this is that Spotify will give people the ability to search for their favorite artist, songs or radio stations and just play them. There’s nothing more to it and there doesn’t need to be. Although, there are some cool things that the desktop version of Spotify offers and we’ll go over them right now.
The coolest thing about the new Spotify app is that it gives people the ability to listen to their favorite songs wherever they might be. Say for example someone goes to visits a friend’s house, that person can log in with their Spotify account and all their favorite tracks will pop up.
One of the best things about the Spotify web player is that it supported hotkey shorts. Fortunately, the new app will also feature them. These are some of the most popular hotkeys:
- Play/Pause: Alt + Shift + P
- Previous Track: Alt + Shift +,
- Next Track: Alt + Shift +.
