A leak of the tempered film for the upcoming Sony Xperia XZ4 indicates that the phone will stand quite tall as tall as or close to the iPhone XS Max. The image leaked shows that the length or height of the phone will be 152 mm (iPhone XS Max measures 157 mm). This is not very surprising since the aspect ratio was already revealed from other sources earlier as 21:9 and it was estimated that the phone would have an elongated front. Now there is confirmation through this tweet and the accompanying image. And the tweet is from none other than the ever-reliable Ice universe.

Many Storage Version Being Rumored
Apart from the height, there is another area where Sony is being predicted to be breaking its traditions. The Japanese phone maker does not release too many storage variants of its Sony Xperia phones usually. But this time around, there is a lot of speculation on what can be expected with the Sony Xperia XZ4. The speculation is that Sony may have 2 RAM variants, 6 GB and 8 GB and the internal storage is expected to be 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB. Now, will there be six variants with the two RAM variants being released at different storage points? This cannot be confirmed as of now. It may be safe to presume that there will be one 6 GB / 64 GB variant and then 2 8 GB RAM variants in 128 GB and 256 GB storage capacities respectively.
Is There a 5G Phone in the Works?
The next serious question is if the Sony Xperia XZ4 will be released in a 5G enabled version as well. It may be too early to confirm, but there are rumors emerging from Japan that there will be an 8 GB / 256 GB variant of the phone that will be capable of running the 5G service.
On the expected pricing of the Sony Xperia XZ4, the same Japanese sources say the pricing in Japan could start from ¥125,000 ($1152). This will be considered on the higher side as the higher end variant could go up to as much as $1382.
Much of this may be cleared by Monday when the CES 2019 starts.
