Sony wants to succeed where Google appears to have failed and are bringing SmartEyeglass on the market at a price almost two times lower than that of Google Glass.

Sony SmartEyeglass is not nearly as elegant as Google Glass, but will be much cheaper. The Japanese market will draw a ” Developer Edition ” which will cost about 840 dollars. Since the price for a Google Glass is $ 1,500 , the product wearable device from Sony seems quite affordable. Sony wants to progress from one chapter to which Google seems to stagnate. As you may know, Google Glass is uncertain future at this time.

It appears that Sony has chosen a different approach. Google Glass has all the components in frame glasses, but if Sony SmartEyeglass’ case, these are located in the component that is connected with smart glasses. According to Slashgear, this component is the one that communicates with the mobile phone, so the relatively large size of SmartEyeglass cannot be explained.

A huge difference between Google and Sony SmartEyeglass Glass is the screen. If Google Glass has an edge display, Sony opted to place it in the middle. This could be helpful at times, but notifications may become tangled when displayed. It seems that SmartEyeglass will be compatible with devices running Android 4.4 or a later version and will be available in countries such as Japan, UK, USA and Germany.
