Snapchat Bug has Been Fixed – The App is Now Working Again

Just recently there have been some problems with Snapchat when a great number of users have reported that the messaging app is crashing. This happened on Wednesday evening when hundreds of people made complaints about the crashes on social media. It also seems that the app was not working across Britain, based on a report that was posted yesterday.

We were able to see on Twitter that Snapchat knew about these issues and was trying to resolve them. However, they did not specify why the app stopped working for so many users.

A great number of users mentioned that only Android devices are affected

According to some people who have announced that Snapchat was down, the problem seemed to have affected only Android devices, but the company did not confirm this. All we knew was that these bugs started being reported by people right after it was announced that the app will launch a new Lens Explorer feature. This feature would allow users to go through thousands of lenses that were created by the app in the latest months, and it is expected to be launched first on iOS devices.

The issue has now been fixed

Not long after acknowledging the problem, Snapchat gave us an update on the situation in a tweet, confirming that everything has been fixed, so there shouldn’t be any more crashes on users’ devices. According to the message that was posted on Twitter, in case some users are still experiencing this bug, they could try “force-closing the app” and the issue should be gone.

Snapchat has not mentioned yet if these crashes that the users were facing affected solely Android devices. We hope that the app will not be crashing down anymore and that users will not have issues with it again.
