Samsung Odyssey+ Windows VR Game Gets New Improvements

Samsung has recently released a new Odyssey+ headset that can’t be compared to the previous one thanks to all the new improvements. The device is so changed you will not even want to hear about the previous one.

A new display technology has been introduced, and it is considered one of the most significant changes. This technology aims to reduce the screen door effect which means that those lines that separate individual pixels will no longer be seen as easy as before. According to Samsung, that was achieved thanks to a perceived pixel density of 1,233 PPI.

The entire device has also been streamlined by the company. It is now more comfortable to wear thanks to its lighter weight. Now there is a similarity between Samsung Odyssey+ and its predecessor. It also comes with dual 3.5 inch AMOLED displays with a resolution of 1440 x 1600 pixels per eye.

The Winwos Mixed Reality platforms sit again at the base of the device, its goal being to offer high-end tracked VR. All that would happen without the need of an external tacking hardware. The first to announce that the Odyssey+ will be launched by Apple was Variety.

If you want to buy the Odyssey+ you will need to pay $500 and also get it from the U.S. It is available on both Samsung’s own website and on Microsoft Store. Samsung wants to bring this technology to other countries such as China, Korea, Hong Kong, and Brazil.

What is incredible is that with the dual AMOLED displays measuring 3.5 inches and a combined resolution of 1,440 x 1,600 per eye, when you pair the Anti-SDE technology with the Samsung HMD Odyssey, the visual boundaries are pushed forward for immersive technologies. When you get bored of the VR, and you want to come back to the normal one, you can always use the controller of the Samsung HMD Odysset+ as a flashlight which will help you stay out of trouble in case you do not see well in the dark.

The premium audio technology from AKG is integrated into the Samsung HMD Odyssey+ which offers dynamic and exceptional sounds. With the built-in 360o spatial sound support you can honestly feel the moment as it simulated 3D audio which delivers precise and clear acoustics no matter the angle. Built-in volume controls are also included, so you can always change the volume while being in the Virtual Reality.

You can stay immersed because it is now more comfortable

The wide eye box measures 146mm which allows you to match it to your facial features. Alongside it also weights only 1.3lbr (590g) so the Samsung HMD Odyssey+ will no longer be considered uncomfortable.

Everyone can now find the perfect fit as it has an Inter-Pupillary Distance wheel, the headband and display position can be put into place, It is also impossible that the inside of the eye box gets mist up because Samsung uses an anti-fog material for the faced padding inside the Samsung HMD Odyssey+.

Easy to use, hard to give it up

Samsung HMD Odyssey+ offers such a changing gaming experience that you will not want to stop. It is easy to use, has Inside-Out Position tracking features and built-in Bluetooth, all along with an easy-plugin setup that is compatible for PC. The controllers are pre=paired so when you get the Samsung HMD Odyssey+ all you need to do is get it out the box.

The precision 6 Degrees Of Freedom (DOF) tracking helps you indulge in better-mixed reality experienced. This controlled will get you every move detected and transferred it into the Virtual reality. It responds exceptionally quickly no matter how slight the motion is, and it also makes the gameplay movements seem more natural. Besides that, the dizziness is also reduced.

As mentioned before the Samsung HMD Odyssey+ will first be available in the U.S at and at the Microsoft store beginning with 22nd of October 2018. People from Hong Kong, Korea, China, and Brazil will also be allowed to purchase this device but later.

If you need to find out more about this gadget or maybe get a Samsung HMD Odyssey+ for yourself, all you need to do is access the official site of Samsung.
