Owners of the Samsung Gear S3 and Samsung Gear Sport have been facing an issue where the battery of their wearables do not last as much as they are supposed to.
Based on affirmations from a forum called Samsung Community, the battery of the smartwatches seems to drop at around 3 am. Many of them are saying that they are suffering from this issue.
A moderator on the forum has stated that the company is working on a fix, but it’s not been revealed what is the cause of the issue. We reached out to Samsung to find out if this is a widespread problem and whether the company has identified the cause of the issue. It provided us with the following statement:
A moderator of the forum said that a fix is being worked on by the company, but the cause of the issue is still unknown. After reaching out to Samsung, they were kind enough to provide us with an answer. According to the company, customer satisfaction is very important to them and “the core to our business.” Their aim is to deliver the best experience possible. They have previously read reports about the issue that Samsung Gear Sport and Gear 3 owners are struggling with and they provided a solution. Owners should restart their wearables.
Apparently, the old and well-known trick of turning a device off and then on solves this issue
What is great though is that the owners of the recently released Samsung Galaxy Watch have not encountered this battery drain problem yet. Hopefully, we will get to know more about this issue and maybe its causes when Samsung will get those answers themselves. Probably there will be no other solution needed for a while.
