The successor to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 will be the Tab S6 as you would have guessed since there has already been a tablet from the South Korean company with the moniker Tab S5e. The more important point is the kind of specifications the tablet is speculated to be provided with. Many of these details have come out through leaks but have been compiled from the usually reliable sources. The first impression you will gain is that this might turn out to be one of the best tablets out there.
The Superior Processor Will Give it the Edge
Samsung has decided to power the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. That will make this 10.5-inch display tablet offer you top level performance. Experts point out that this move to fit the latest processor assumes significance in view of what the company did with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 last year when the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 was preferred over the 845 SoC, which the chipset maker had already released.
Twin Cameras and S Pen to Add Value
The camera section is receiving increasing attention on all handheld devices and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 will be no exception. The leaks suggest there will be two sensors in the rear camera setup though their precise rating or resolution is not known yet. Will there be a Time of Flight or ToF camera? That might be an interesting question, but there is no confirmation on that as well. The dual camera itself is a first for a Samsung tablet.
The other component which was seen on the Tab S4 and may come with some improved capabilities will be the Stylus Pen. It could be a Bluetooth enabled one.
The other specs include a 6 GB RAM and 128 GB of onboard storage. There could be a 256 GB option as well. The OS will be the Android Pie version 9 and the upgrade to the Android 10 Q may not be long in coming. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 will be available in both the LTE and the Wi-Fi variants and there will be three colors, Blue, Brown and Grey.
That brings us to the question when would one see the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 launched. There is no confirmation on this yet. If you went by the limited knowledge that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 was out in August 2018, you would think the Galaxy Unlocked event coming up on August 7 might be the right occasion to include this device as well.
You may have to wait a little longer to get the confirmation on that.
