Users of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 are currently receiving an update from T-Mobile that has the Android security patch and other upgrades. If you have this device from T-Mobile, confirm that the update has been downloaded and installed. It’s a fairly large file, 692.6 GB in size and you should preferably have the tablet connected to a Wi-Fi source for a smooth download. The expectation is that the tablet must carry sufficient battery charge left in it to ensure there is no disruption in the downloading of the file.
August Security Update
T-Mobile is sending to its Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 users the August security update patch received from Android. This is not unusual; the smartphones being larger in number receive the security patches first and then the tablets.
Apart from the Android security patch, there are other update files too included in this T-Mobile update. These include Bixby Voice support as well as Call and Message Continuity support. These are functional updates that Samsung would have implemented based on feedback from customers. T-Mobile has included the update patches in this package. If you have had any issues with the Bixby voice command or the call and message functions, those would be taken care of once this software update is installed on your device.
There may be other improvements in other pre-existing features of the tablet. You will be prompted about these once the respective apps get updated.
