Apart from many rumors and leaks we were teased with about Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, there is one that outshines them all. The next tablet’s design will feature thin bezels and a lack of a home button on the front. These specs have made the public and the South Korean company’s fans wondering what type of biometric security it would have.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Confirmations
Because rumors about Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 coming with face recognition features and iris scanner were all over the internet, SamMobile has decided to get us out of the fog. They confirmed that Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 would come with both of these features. This confirmation has its origin in a firmware video that shows how both features work.
While explaining how the face recognition and iris scanner works and how they act when powering the device we have realized that the video also shows that these specs are the same as in the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones. The features work both in simultaneity and unlock the device when the sensor recognizes either the irides or the faces. With that being told it also proves that these features can be used no matter how bright or dark is the place where the user enables them.
The launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is near. Since Galaxy Note 9 will be launched on 9th of August at Samsung’s Unpacked event from Brooklin, Ney York City, the nex tablet might be shown there as well and announced at IFA in Berlin. Some of our expectation regarding what the device will include are Exynos 9810 chipset, Android 8.1 with Samsung Experience UI on top. A cheaper model named Galaxy Tab A2 is also expected to be released with the same 10.5” screen size, but lower-tier specs.
