Samsung Galaxy S8 Exynos vs. Galaxy S8 Snapdragon – Speed and Features Comparison

The latest iteration of smartphone developed by Samsung comes in the shape of the Samsung Galaxy S8, but it does not come in just different color schemes. The Galaxy S8 has two different processors and they are both different.  Your location will also dictate which version you can find. For example, the US and Canadian Samsung fans will most likely have access only to the Snapdragon-type Galaxy S8 version, while the rest of the world will most likely have the Exynos version. Performance-wise, there are some differences and it will be well worth knowing them prior to purchasing.

Previously, the Galaxy S7 Exynos version of smartphone was significantly stronger than the Snapdragon and users were mostly trying to get acquire the Exynos variant thanks to that. But the recent Galaxy 8 variants do not have much difference between them, according to information from Phonebuff. As it can be seen in the video below, there are some situations where one is better than the other, but the smartphones are considerably closer to each other performance-wise in comparison to their predecessors.

The result of the tests done in the video shows us that the Exynos processor was better than the Snapdragon variant by just two seconds. This, however, should not be considered a 100% valid and applicable test, as the difference could just be a small error margin and not a result of weaker components on one processor and superior ones on the other.

The guys from Phonebuff have mentioned that realistically the difference between the smartphones are negligible, and should not affect the experience when navigating one variant or the other. However, if benchmarks are to be believed, then the Exynos variant is the better of the two. Regardless, the fact that the variants are so close to each other is nothing short of amazing.
