Samsung Galaxy S20, S20 Plus and S20 Ultra will be the Monikers, New Information Confirms

In confirmation of the strong rumors of the past few weeks, it is now learned that a senior Samsung executive has himself confirmed that the nomenclature of the Galaxy S series flagships to be launched next month will be called the Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra. So, from Plus and Pro, you now have another suffix ‘ultra’ to go with premium variants of smartphone models. The other significant piece of news to emerge is that Samsung is going to call its next foldable model, the Galaxy Bloom.

Information Leaked from Secret Meetings at the CES 2020

Industry watchers claim that Samsung has made it a practice to hold closed-door meetings with select stakeholders at the CES event every year to share with them some of the developments at its end. These relate to the products under development and its plans. Someone who was at this year’s meeting, held secretly, managed to click some pictures and has shared it for the benefit of everyone.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra to Sport 108MP Camera

The leaks from the secret meeting suggest that of the three S series flagships to be released on February 11 at the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco the top-end variant, Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra will be fitted with a 108MP primary shooter. The camera will be capable of 100x zoom and other exciting prospects for the fans of this device.

The other bit of information worth noting is that all three models will be capable of recording 8K videos. Immediately, the reaction from the market is that the South Korean company is doing this in order to boost the sales of its 8K television sets. Their take is that Samsung is finding very few buyers for its 8K TV since there is very little content out there in that format to be watched. With the Android TVs supporting YouTube in a big way, Samsung hopes that the 8K video recording facility in the hands of mobile phone users will lead to a rapid increase in the posting of videos shot in 8K format on YouTube and its TV customers can view them. This is one way of looking at this development.

Most other specifications may be the same as rumored so far; however, you may not have to wait for long before there is official confirmation on these as well.
