The processor chip that the South Korean company is going to use on their Samsung Galaxy S10 is a question going through everyone’s mind at the moment. It looks like we may have gotten our hands on the name of the processor that is going to be with the help of Jae youl Kim from his LinkedIn profile list of accomplishments. We are not sure if he was authorized to make this move or if it was a simple mistake but either way we are more than happy to see it.
Exynos 9820 – the possible chip
Under his list of accomplishments, Jae youl Kim listed the Exynos 9820. From what we already know, the Exynos 9810 was used as the processor for the S9 and S9 Plus phones that just came out. The only possible explanation is that the Exynos 9820 could be the chip that is going to be used for the S10 since it was announced that it was already in the works back in January.
So far this is only a piece of leaked information that we got our hands on and we can expect an official announcement regarding the S10 to come up in the second half of 2018, probably close to the end of the year.
The Exynos 9820 is rumored to have a 5G feature. This could be marketed by Samsung as their decision to put out a phone on the market that is going to be compatible with the next generation of networks. Other specifications of this chip are not out yet since the South Korean company is still working on it at the moment; however we can expect to hear more about in the near future. It looks like Samsung is trying to raise the stakes with the Galaxy S10, if their hand work on this phone is an indicator of that.
