What we know for now is that Galaxy Note 9 does not come with an under-display fingerprint sensor. That has been confirmed by Samsung as it is still testing this technology. What we can hope for instead is that it will be included in the next Galaxy S10 after years of working on that feature. Samsung has always had an interest in fingerprint scanners, and they implemented this technology on some of their devices, even on the entry-level ones. But, there is still a place for improvement. Iris scanners have already completed the tech which is used for authentication but having it under the screen gives the user more convenience.
Synaptics Natural ID technology was in Samsung’s mind years ago. The fingerprint sensors were also introduced by Synaptics for mobile devices. This solution was used a period ago for logging into websites and unlock phones. And after a few years, the company introduced under-glass optical fingerprint sensors, and it was expected of Samsung to add them, but they refused.
Samsung Galaxy S10 Newest Feature
Even though the public has been waiting for Samsung to introduce that for years, it is thought that the tech will emerge display problems. With every phone released without featuring this, the public got more disappointed, but Galaxy S10 will have it for sure.
Ice Universe said Samsung would “bring a better screen fingerprinting experience for the S10. It’s a promise, but the S10 won’t use an optical fingerprinting solution as it “can cause a bad user experience.” The information came from Samsung CEO DJ Koh.
Samsung did not stop working soon 9th of August Note 9 will be launched. While that is being prepared, the Galaxy S10 series of three devices is being worked on, and it is expected to look significantly different from the iPhone by Apple.
As usual, there is no moment in which the company’s phones are not compared. Because Samsung will be focusing more intensely on augmented reality, next year it will come hard to make comparisons between Samsung Galaxy and iPhone.
According to an analyst at TF International Securities, Ming-Chi Kuo, Galaxy S10 will come in three models with screen sizes of 6.4, 6.1 and 5.8 inches. The first two mentioned will feature ultrasonic fingerprint detection just like the future, and future models will also use it.
The ultrasonic FOD is from Qualcomm, but we do not have any further information. However, what we can assume is that Apple might stop competing in this category and Samsung will be helped by this new tech to advance its fingerprint-reading solution.
