If you are excited about the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, there is a chance that you might receive it sooner than expected. A new report revealed that the Galaxy Note series unveiling would take place on August 9, at the Samsung “Unpacked” press event that will take place in the New York City.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was released similarly, but at an event that took place at the end of August, back in 2017. The report also had some interesting information about the specifications of the smartphone. Let us take a look at the details.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 upgrades
According to the report, we will see some improvements when it comes to the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. It appears that there will be an upgraded processor from Qualcomm. We did not receive more details about this, but it is very likely that the processor will be the Snapdragon 845. Obviously, this would be an improvement as the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 came with the Snapdragon 835 chip.
The camera will also receive some improvements. We do not know precisely what are the changes, but rumor has it that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will come with a dual rear sensor setup and we might even get a variable aperture feature like the one that can be found on the Galaxy S9 series.
The release date was delayed
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was supposed to be released earlier, but the date was postponed after vice chairman Lee Jae-Yong decided to make some changes to the design of the phone. The orders came just a few months before the device was expected to be released. It appears that the company wants to reduce the thickness of the glass protecting the OLED display by 0.5mm.
