Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Fingerprint Sensor and New Updates

This year Samsung fans focused on two major releases: the Galaxy S9 & Galaxy S9+, and Galaxy Note 9. The first ones have already been launched and we have talked about it, and now all eyes are on Galaxy Note 9. Since it is the successor of the Galaxy Note 8, the expectations are quite high. Let’s see what we know so far.

Fingerprint sensor that is part of the screen

A virtual fingerprint sensor is something that users have been expecting for a while now. There have been plenty of rumors that Samsung is working on the on-screen fingerprint sensor, but we did not receive it so far.

According to some reports, Samsung is planning to add a virtual fingerprint sensor, but it appears that there are some technical difficulties that make it hard to happen.

There might be a new design

It is not unusual to see design changes when it comes to the Galaxy Note, and this might happen this time as well. Back in January, we saw a patent that was filed by Samsung with WIPO, and there was a smartphone that had no bezels or a notch.

Launch date

The previous Galaxy Note was launched in September, so many believed that the next one will be released at the same date. However, it appears that the Galaxy Note 9 might be released sooner than we expected and that is because the Galaxy S9 was not the success that Samsung hoped for.

According to some reports, the Galaxy Note 9 could be released this summer so that the company achieves its financial goals this time. It could also be a good decision to make Samsung one step ahead of the competition, as Apple will release the new iPhones in September.
