Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Series Phones to Get Android 10 Beta Upgrade in Phases

Samsung will send out the software version upgrades for its Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series devices, albeit in phases. The upgrades will be Samsung’s One UI 2.0 beta based on the Android 10 OS beta. There is a little confusion on whether these updates will cover all four models, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, 10+, Galaxy 10 5G and 10+ 5G. The company has already announced the upgrades for the S series flagships, the Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10e, and Galaxy S10+.

The Updates May be Sent OTA in Phases

It is learned that the software upgrade will be done in a phased manner, with the US market being covered in the first phase. Within the US too, the unlocked devices may be the ones to receive this upgrade first. If you have purchased your Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series smartphone through one of the carriers in a bundle, you will have to wait till the carrier sends the software updates.

Germany is another country where the update may be coming soon. The other regions like the UK, Spain, China, France, Poland, India, are likely to be covered next, not necessarily in that order. The first ones to receive the firmware update will be Samsung’s home country South Korea. The company has posted on its community page in Korean and English on this update coming soon. Interestingly, there is a mention of the two 5G models, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ whereas the other two models are missing.

The company has not anywhere indicated the dates when these updates will be rolled out.

Dark Mode, a Major Change Brought by the New Version of OS

There are obviously many changes and improvements you will be able to notice with the new version of the Android OS as reflected in the UI developed by Samsung. One major change is the Dark Mode being brought to the home screen. This will make sure the screen will adjust its brightness and display according to the ambient light outside to ensure that your eyes are not strained. In addition to this feature, the Dark Mode will give you longer battery life.
