With a $300 price difference, the Galaxy J7 Pro and the J7 Max are two similar devices that differ in some key aspects. Let’s take a look at the most their important aspects and see which one is better for you.

Display

Samsung devices are known to have high quality displays and that is one of their strengths. The Galaxy J7 Max and the J7 Pro are no exception. However, if you compare these two you can see that the TFT display of the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max is not as good a s the Super AMOLED display of Samsung Galaxy J7 Max.

The J7 Pro has a better contrast and it also has an “Always on Display” option that will allow you to stay on top of notifications and messages.

Software

Samsung J7 Max and Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro have different versions of Samsung Pay, and Galaxy wins this round. J7 Pro will let you add you debit and credit cards, Compared to J7 Max’s reduced version of Samsung Pay that works with UPI payments.

They both run Android Nougat 7.0.

Hardware

The J7 Pro comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. It has the Exynos 7870 octa-core processor that is great for casual task but it can’t really handle more difficult tasks.

The Galaxy J7 Max has a 1.6 GHz MediaTek octa-core processor that works okay, although it can lag while playing games.

An advantage for J7 Max is the fact that it does not get hot even after gaming for a while.
