Samsung Galaxy J6 Prime Latest Specs and Improvements Before Its Release Date

Galaxy J6 Prime has been worked on by Samsung for a while now, and this mid-range smartphone is about to hit shops soon. We have gathered numerous leaks and rumors that might introduce you to the subject.

The Samsung Galaxy J6

Before getting into deeper detail, it would be better for you to get to know the phone and what it can offer you.

Network – Thee Galaxy J6 comes with LTE, GPS, and HSPA.

Body – The phone is built out of plastic, is light as a feather, and supports Dual SIM (nano-SIM).

Display – In case you were wondering, the Galaxy J6 features a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors, its screen measures 5.6 inches, it multitouch, its protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and has a resolution of 720 x 1480 pixels, 18.5:9 ratio.

Platform – The software of the smartphone is Android Oreo 8.0, has an Exynos 7870 Octa chipset, an Octa-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and a Mali-T830 MP1 GPU.

Memory – The internal memory of the Galaxy J6 is 64 GB or 32GB with 4GB of RAM respectively 5GB. Its storage can be extended up to 256 GB using a microSD.

Cameras – The rear camera has 13 MP, is a single one with LED flash, HDR, and panorama while the front camera is 8 MP.

Sound – The phone is equipped with a 3.5mm jack, and it has a loudspeaker.

Comms – As you expected, the phone comes with WLAN, 4.2 Bluetooth, GPS, radio, and micro USB on the go.

Battery – Galaxy J6 ’s battery is a non-removable 3,000 mAh one which offers the user up to 76 hours of music and 21 hours of talk time on 3G.

Features – The smartphone features a fingerprint sensor which is mounted on the rear of the phone.

It is rumors time

Based on renders, we can see that the phone got its name changed, information confirmed earlier this year. In comparison with the Galaxy J6, the Galaxy J6 Prime has a dual rear camera. Some markets will probably announce the Galaxy J6 Prime as Galaxy J6 Plus.

Some other difference you will notice right away is the lack of a fingerprint scanner on the rear of the phone. According to the same source, it was relocated inside the power button which can be found on the side.

The screen suffers some differences too compared to its predecessor. Unsurprisingly, as many phones come with this new change, the Galaxy J6 Prime will have slimmer bezels. The screen will measure 6.0 inches, and it will be a Super AMOLED. The only difference is that it is 0.4 inches larger.

As we all analyzed the earlier practices of Samsung, Galaxy J6 Prime’s chipset might be updated from the Exynos 7870. RAM designed by Samsung to the Snapdragon 450 chip instead. However, the same storages will be kept the company offering 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB models.

Unfortunately, it is still unknown when the Galaxy J6 Prime or Plus will be unveiled by the South Korean tech giant. However as the Bluetooth certification of the phone was released, we expect it’s launch to be as early as this year.
