Since Samsung is already done with working on their high-end smartphones, the S9 and S9+, now the South Korean company has decided to focus its attention on their new line of J phones. Their new budget-friendly phones have already been spotted on Geekbench.

The Galaxy J3 vs. the Galaxy J3 Pro

We would like to use a comparative approach to look at these phones. We know that the J3 smartphone is going to have an Exynos 7570 processor that will run up to 1.4GHz while the J3 Pro is going to have a different processor, an Exynos 7885 SoC, that will run up to 1.5GHz. When it comes to the operating system and the amount of RAM, both phones will have Android 8.0 Oreo and 2GB of RAM.

When the benchmark tests were taken, the J3 scored 604 while its counterpart, the J3 Pro, scored 650 points.  So far it looks like the phones are pretty similar, with the J3 Pro being just slightly better than the J3.

We also know that the J3 phone is going to have an 8MP back camera and a 5MP front camera but we still have to wait and hear about the camera specifications for the J3 Pro.

The benchmark test results

In the data that was received, the benchmark tests were taken on the 23rd of February. While these tests do show a number of information regarding the new phones, there are some specs that we do not know anything about yet. It looks like we are going to have to wait a bit more.

Did Samsung have anything to say?

As usual, the South Korean company decided not to comment these leaks. It looks like Samsung is always reserved when this type of information gets out, a trait that we have grown accustomed to.
