Samsung Galaxy Fold 5G Now Supports Dex on PC, Galaxy Tab S6 and Note 9 Get Security Patches

The Samsung Galaxy Fold 5G is the futuristic phone that allows its users to fold it and flip it open when you need a large screen to use. For those who need a larger screen, Samsung’s Dex support is amazing using which users can mirror their device onto a computer monitor and get things done with shorter turnaround time.

The updates from Samsung’s stable are being constantly rolled out on all directions as they are really busy bringing the S10 series devices to the latest Android 10 update. Along with it, the developers have also introduced One UI 2.0 update which is more fluid with lots of major visual changes, an amazing Dark Mode for apps as well as the ability to handle your large phones with seamless hand gestures similar to how people do on an iPhone.

December Security Patch is Out on Multiple Devices

The security patches and minor improvements have often been rolled out as incremental updates in the recent past. Be it Samsung, OnePlus or Huawei, the companies receive those patches much earlier and in many instances, Google is slower compared to what other manufacturers do to safeguard their phones against a bug or identified security issues.

While Galaxy Fold received the December security update, the Fold 5G users had to wait a bit longer and now it is being rolled out on multiple devices at once. Apart from fixing bugs and making it a safer phone to use, the team is also bringing in Dex support for 5G phone users. After all, when you are paying thousands of dollars, you would want to be at the cutting edge of technology but the slower updates are okay when they provide assurance that these updates make the phone more stable and secure.

The November security patch was launched under the codename ASK1 whereas the Galaxy Fold 5G edition’s codename is now identified with ASK9. Despite all these major updates, users with a Fold phone are expected to wait longer before One UI 2.0 and Android 10 is launched on the world’s popular foldable phone from Samsung. Other companies like Motorola are fast catching up but it takes audacity to be the first in the market irrespective of the obstacles the brand faced before the official launch.

Galaxy Tab S6

Galaxy Tab S6 is also receiving the December security patch along with Note 9 smartphone. If you like to know, check your device’s software update settings page and download it over Wi-Fi to safeguard yourself against any imminent threats.
