A series of Galaxy smartphones by Samsung usually belong to the mid-range price tag. A few months back, in August, the South Korean company brought out its Galaxy A50s an improvisation of the Galaxy A50 that was also released towards the start of this year. A Geekbench listing showed the specifications of a new Samsung smartphone with model number SM-A515F. With rumors of a new set of the manufacturer getting a new set of A series handsets ready for its 2020 launch, it can only be guessed that the phone listed is the Galaxy A51.
What Features Can Be Expected?
If the specifications mentioned in the Geekbench listing are authentic, then the Galaxy A51 will come fitted with an Exynos 9611 chipset for the motherboard. It is worth noting that this is a new entrant, which was released officially only the last month as an enhancement of the earlier Exynos 9610. The chipset is integrated with a Mali-G72 MP2 graphics coprocessor. It features scores of 323 and 1185 in the single-core and multi-core tests respectively.
The processor will be an octa-core setup that is essentially two sets of four cores, which clock at 2.3GHz and 1.7GHz.The Galaxy A51 is likely to house 4GB RAM and offer two storage options of 64GB and 128GB. As can be expected, the prices will vary for both variants. It is also mentioned that the smartphone will function using the Android 10 operating system that can be customized with the manufacturer’s latest One UI 2.0. This may be a hint that all upcoming A-series handsets from Samsung will come with this version of Android installed out of the box.
The Geekbench listing gives no further possible details about the smartphone such as its shooter. However, according to recent trends, manufacturers like Realme and Xiaomi have opted for a quad-camera setup on the back. There are high chances that Samsung will do the same for its handset. Going by the previous rumors, these snappers will be a 32MP main lens, a 12MP telephoto lens that supports 2x optical zoom, a 12MP wide-angle lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. There is no clue for now regarding the front camera of the smartphone. It must be noted that the features mentioned Geekbench listing need not be final and accurate. The South Korean tech giant has made no official comments and can change them at any point in time.
Release Date of the Galaxy A51
Samsung has still not done any announcement about a release date for its upcoming Galaxy A51 handset. The Galaxy A50 hit the shelves in February this year. Keeping this in mind along with the multiple rumors doing the rounds, we can hope for an official release in early 2020 during the first quarter.
