Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 Gets the Latest Android Nougat Update

While Samsung have broken into the smartphone market by offering luxury devices that were comparable to those produced by Apple, the company has also become well-known for their mid-range devices, especially in recent years. One particularly well-loved Samsung mid-range smartphone is the Samsung Galaxy A5 in its 2016 variant.

If you own this particular type of device, you might know that the device has already received Android 7.0 Nougat in Russia. And now, the new version of the Android operating system is coming to devices of this particular make and model in India too. If you live in India, it’s time to get excited for brand new features and options, as well as an all-new and improved design.

New Update

The update comes under firmware build number A510FDXXU4CQDL and is quite hefty in size, weighing in at around 1GB. That’s quite a considerable size, so make sure you have enough memory space available to install the update before accepting it. Also, make sure that your phone is charged somewhere over the 50% mark in order to prevent the update process from stopping right in the middle. If your OS update stops abruptly, it can damage your phone for good, so make sure to avoid that.

The update comes with an enhanced version of Doze, as well as brand new interface design features and an app multitasking option. These are pretty much the standard package as far as Android Nougat is concerned, and we’ve seen these features before when the update has come to other devices in the Samsung Galaxy line, such as the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge.

What about you? Do you own a Samsung Galaxy A5 2016? If so, did the new update reach you? Let us know in the comment section below.
