There have been several rumors regarding the curation and development of the new instalment of GTA series; namely GTA 6. The fans of the GTA series have been keen to get a slight insight into the forthcoming GTA 6 after the success of Grand Theft Auto V.
Since April and all through May this year, rumors suggested that the forthcoming GTA 6 will release alongside the next-gen Xbox Scarlet and PS 5. There is a highly likely chance that Microsoft and Sony will release the gaming consoles in November 2020. Nevertheless, these speculations are presently dead in the water after Strauss Zelnick’s statement regarding the release of GTA 6.
Recently, Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two, said that it is safe to expect smaller gaps in the release of big budget games. Take-Two’s CEO believes that video games such as Red Dead Online and GTA Online can engage with their customers regularly. Furthermore, the developers are also introducing new features to entice gamers to stay an integral part of the game.
The long wait is finally over
Extending the lives of the games reduces pressure while rolling out new instalments into the market. This also creates a full bridge between the latest releases of games. Take-Two is planning to change the way the games are brought to life. Rockstar Games’ parent company will provide more resources to the developers and also increase the number of developers.
It has been around six years that GTA V came into being. Rockstar Games hasn’t yet revealed the first look or even the release date of the sixth game of the GTA series. On the other hand, the gap between the first instalment of Red Dead Redemption series was around eight years. Waiting eight years for a game can be a little frustrating for the gamers, especially where there are plenty of new games available to choose from.
Take-Two highlights that games will be shorter than before
The frequent release in games will make the gameplay and story shorter. The developers can easily roll out content updates in a regular manner, and this will allow quick release of the new titles. However, the content during the initial release of the game will be less.
Rockstar, the developer, is doing wonders when it comes to rolling out new updates with the content regularly. The only downside of the strategy is that gamers might not be able to enjoy the extended gameplay that came with GTA V and IV.
