How To Remove Extensions In Google Chrome

Every popular browser has the extensions and Google Chrome is no exception. The browser extensions significantly increase the capabilities and ease of use, but they also may be harmful. For example, randomly assigned extensions can run their ads everywhere or extension can simply consume too much RAM with the minor contribution, seriously reducing the browser speed and usability. These browser extensions should be removed as quickly as possible. In this guide, we will show you how to remove extensions in Google Chrome.

If you are looking for information about how to remove the browser extension in Google Chrome all you need are these simple instructions:

If you don’t need an extension, which has an icon in the browser toolbar, you can remove it with just a few clicks.

With a right-click on the icon next to the menu, you can customize extension and delete it.

Right-click on the icon and select “Remove from Chrome”.

Next, in the pop-up window just confirm the action and the unnecessary extension will be removed.

If the desired extension doesn’t have an icon in the toolbar, then follow these actions:

Open the page browser extensions

You can open the page with the Chrome extensions in several ways. The easiest – to enter the address in the address bar “chrome://extensions” or by using your browser menu at the top right corner: Menu< Settings < More Tools -> Extensions

On the next page you will find all the installed extensions in your browser, which you can remove, or simply temporarily disable if they are currently unnecessary.

To turn off simply uncheck “Enabled” and the extension field will be grayed out.

To delete an extension, just click on the “trashcan” icon next to “Enabled” and confirm the action in the pop-up window.
