Every time something new pops up related to the upcoming Redmi K20, it has sparked some great interest on the internet. The phone which is being promoted as the flagship killer and even sent an open challenge to the OnePlus 7 Pro has generated quite a hype among potential buyers.
Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has always been promoted as a budget solution for all. It is going to change with the K20 which we already kind of guessed that will sport the latest Snapdragon 855 processor. It is the same chipset that is being used on all major phones including the Galaxy S10 and other newest flagship models.
However, considering the track record the brand has over the years, they might probably price the phone in a more affordable mid-range price bracket. Before the official launch of the phone in China and other countries, it sounds like the specifications of the device have been leaked early. As expected, they are quite impressive and almost fall on par with what Redmi wanted us to believe right from the beginning.
The Redmi K20 sports a large 6.39-inch OLED display and it is great to see that OLED is becoming the norm on almost every smartphone these days. The display will sport a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels to ensure you get crystal clear images, watch videos in higher resolution and also enjoy games with more clarity. Considering the screen size, the improved resolution will help in delivering more pixels per inch.
It uses an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and the designers have managed to remove the notch on this phone. The top-notch has been removed with the help of a sliding front camera which gets you an all-screen display that is great to look at. The phone uses a 20-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture while the rear camera is a 48-megapixel combined with 13 mp super wide lens and 8 mp telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture.
The specifications got leaked through an AnTuTu benchmark and now we have more information getting released even before the official launch. Going by this trend, there may not be much to surprise the audience when the phone actually gets launched. The company Redmi is planning to launch a K20 and the K20 Pro editions so that they can appease all types of phone users. The pricing is not revealed yet but it will be competitively priced so as to compete with the likes of Google Pixel 3a and OnePlus 7 Pro models.
