Recovering Deleted Emails in Gmail Step by Step

We know how frustrating it is if you accidentally delete a message you really needed from your inbox. Many people start panicking or stressing out, but before you get to that, you have to know that there are solutions to getting back messages and emails in your Gmail account. Even if you think the email is gone forever, read on to see what solution is there!

Solution #1

The first thing you need to do is to check the Trash folder. That is the place where emails go after you delete them. Thankfully, there is also a search function within the folder, so you can use whatever keywords or names of senders you remember in order to look for a specific email. Just click on the Trash folder and use the search bar placed at the top.

Solution #2

The Trash folder may seem not to be anywhere. In this case, it doesn’t mean the folder doesn’t exist, just that it’s hidden from view. As such, you should go to the Settings menu, which is the little cog icon found above the messages. Go to the Labels tab you will find there, then scroll down and stop on the Trash labels. Then click on the show button. Now you should see the Trash folder and so you can check for deleted emails there.

Solution #3

If the email is not in the Trash folder, it means that you may have emptied the folder or deleted the email forever. In this case, a good idea is to send an email to the Gmail Support Team and ask them to recover what you deleted from your Gmail account. Simply go to the official page: https://support.google.com/mail/contact/missingemails and fill out the necessary details there. The team will be more than happy to help you!
