Kaspersky Offers Free Decryption After For CoinVault + Bitcryptor Ransomware Victim

We have discussed the Ransomware and how it can intimidate both, individual PC or a company. According to Kaspersky Lab, there are 37 percent of companies across the globe that actually consider this to be a serious danger. Ransomware is a digital mechanism for extortion, blocking access to a computer system, or encrypting data stored on the computer, until the victim pays a ransom. It is a part of cyber criminal. The recent Ransomware has been recognized are CoinVault, CryptoLocker, and CTB-Locker. If you or your company have become a Ransomware victim, you’ll probably be confused, should you or company pay to get the data back or not? But, Kaspersky Lab expert said that there is no guarantee the data will be returned.

Kaspersky Lab was working with the National High Tech Crime Unit (NHTCU) of Netherlands Police, The Netherlands’ National Prosecutors Office to uncover decryption keys for those affected by Coinvault. At that time, on April 17 2015, they have added 711 decryption keys to their database and added the 11 more on April 29. On October 28, they announced that all CoinVault and Bitcrypto key (14,000 plus) have been added to the database. The company has made a decryption program available for free, which will allow users to decrypt their own data.
