The much anticipated 10.5 inches version of the iPad Pro might see its own release in June, according to the most recent leaks. 9to5Mac has shared a leaked stock report that supposedly belongs to an Apple Authorized Reseller. According to the image that was published, we see an Under Armour Gear Metropolis Folio Case.
The case wouldn’t be so important, if there wasn’t also a mention of the iPad 10.5, as well as a date in June 2017. You have to admit that this date ties in perfectly with the WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) event that will take place in June this year.
Expecting the iPad Pro 10.5
Usually, Apple keeps the WWDC event only for software announcement. However, people are expecting it to reveal this year a smart speaker that runs with the help of Siri, so if they are making an exception, couldn’t they also announce the new iPad? There is indeed this possibility, but it is important to take everything with a grain of salt.
The case is also mentioned above the respective listing, and it seems that it will become available for the 12.9 inches version of the iPad Pro. We don’t know whether the 10.5 inches iPad refers to the Pro version or not. Even so, from what it seems the Metropolis case that was leaked would be compatible with the Smart Keyboard designed by Apple. In turn, the Smart Keyboard can only be used on the Pro model, which makes us think that the 10.5 inches listing reefers to the iPad Pro.
Regular iPad Has Just Been Released
- Furthermore, the tech giant has just released a regular iPad last March, so it wouldn’t really make sense for them to release a new screen size so soon. At the same time, they did not refresh the Pro line since March 2016.
