It’s no secret that the Microsoft Xbox and the Sony PlayStation are the top two best video game consoles on the market right now. This also means that the two have a longstanding rivalry, even though we’d have to say both of them are equally good in spite of their differences. But the new Xbox One X that Microsoft will launch soon seems to be far superior to anything that Sony has ever done in terms of a console.
Here are the top five best features of the Xbox One X which we’d like to see on the PlayStation as well (maybe on the future PlayStation 5).
- More powerful hardware
The most impressive thing about the Xbox One X is its powerful hardware. The PlayStation series would also benefit from a hardware upgrade, so we’d like to see Sony do that.
- 4K UHD Blu-Ray Playback
The title of this section is self-explanatory. The Xbox One X has an amazing 4K UHD Blu-Ray playback that the PlayStation lacks.
- The Elite controller
The Xbox One X is introducing the Elite controller, an improved device that will make for a far more superior gaming experience. The PlayStation controllers we know and love aren’t bad by any means, but they could use a boost.
- Access to EA
EA is an important video game publisher and distributor, and the Xbox One X has access to their games. This is a partnership that the PlayStation could benefit from.
- Backwards compatibility
Microsoft’s backwards compatibility program that brings older Xbox 360 games to newer consoles is something that Sony should also have for its PlayStation console franchise.
