In a few hours from now, Google will host its ‘Made by Google’ event wherein there will be announcements made for several new hardware developed by the company. This event that takes place every October also highlights the latest flagship smartphones by Google. This year too will be no exception with a formal announcement on the launch of Pixel 4.

Before the official launch, Ishan Agarwal, a tipster has claimed in a tweet that after the launch of Pixel 4, Google will put a full stop to Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL. This is the first time that Google has decided to take predecessors off the shelf. In the past, even after launching Pixel 2, Google continued selling Pixel at a marginally lower price. A similar strategy was applied after releasing Pixel3 in October 2018, when the price of the earlier handset was lowered. This was done to make older phones more affordable and available for millennials.

This is the Google Pixel line-up for this year and a comparison image for the same: Pixel 4, 4XL, 3a and 3a XL. Found the same marketing image as well. Looks like Pixel 3 will be discontinued after all. #Pixel4 #madebygoogle pic.twitter.com/XJDDCbkCFa

A turning point will occur in the October 2019 launch as selling Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL at lower prices would be a cost affecting the decision for the company. Two lined up variants of these smartphones, namely Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are equally well designed and curated models like the original handsets. A few aspects have been adjusted but nothing major like camera sensors or overall performance.

Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL Lined Up

The price of Pixel 3 was already reduced by $300 permanently owing to low sales in the market. The price difference between the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3 is only $100. So, a further reduction will heavily affect the company. This makes the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL ideal options for people looking out for economic Pixel phones.

Highly Anticipated Launches

Along with Pixel 4, Pixelbook Go is another highly anticipated and leaked device that geeks and alike are looking forward to. Pixel Buds 2 are also expected to be a part of this lineup, these are high-end wireless earbuds and Google fans are hoping for it to be at par with Apple’s Airpods. The line up will surely bring a change in the tech market across the world.

High-end smartphone lovers can pick between Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL that will have top-notch features and excellent performance.
