The past few weeks have witnessed more information being shared online about the upcoming Google Pixel 4 and Google Pixel 4 XL phones. This is usually reserved for the iPhones and possibly some of the Samsung high-end devices. The situation was highlighted by Google tweeting an image of the phone to beat the kind of speculation going on. Now, there is a new set of pictures of the phones which are really photos and seen by some as an artist’s impression. Whatever the background, these renders do confirm a number of features discussed earlier about these two devices.
The Uneven Bezels Not to the Liking of Many
One striking feature of the front display of the new Google Pixel 4 and 4 XL that has been in circulation for some time is the way the company has dealt with the bezels. This has been gone through already, but to recall once again, the bezels on the sides have been reduced considerably but the forehead or the top bezel wears a wider look. This will remind you of some of the smartphones of 4-5 years back. The only defense the diehard Google fans have to offer for this is that the designer was left with very little option. There are two cameras in the front which cannot be accommodated inside a notch or a hole punch. Then there is third sensor for hand gestures plus the earpiece. Functionality has taken over from aesthetics.
The Rear Camera Module Will Resemble the iPhones 2019
When Google tweeted the image of the back panel of the Google Pixel 4 it was a dark picture. The new photos show more clarity. The first thing you will notice is that by sheer coincidence, the square bump housing the cameras on the Google Pixel phones this year will be identical to the one that we will get to see on the iPhones to be released this September. It appears certain that the setup will have three sensors a primary sensor, a telephoto lens and Time of Flight 3D sensor.
The other aspect you will notice is the white color of the phone. There are likely to be two more color options, Just Black and Mint Green.
The market’s focus however remains on the Samsung devices to be launched in the first week of next month. Once it is out of the way, the iPhones in September and the Google Pixel phones in October will keep everyone busy.
