OxygenOS 10.0.5 Update Released for the OnePlus 7T, Open Beta 5 Rolls Out for OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro

The OnePlus 7T gets the OxygenOS 10.0.5 update, which comes with the October 2019 security patch by Google. The update comes with a variety of bugfixes, which makes it an essential update for OnePlus 7T users. Along with the OxygenOS 10.0.5 update for the OnePlus 7T, OnePlus is also rolling out Open Beta 5 updates for the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro devices. The update contains bug fixes like the color of the bottom bar when the device is in dark mode, better touch control and much more.

OxygenOS 10.0.5 Update for the OnePlus 7T

OnePlus has initiated the incremental rollout of the Android 10 based OxygenOS 10.0.5 for the OnePlus 7T. The new update has some critical bug fixes, which fixed some UIrelated problems that many users were having with earlier versions of OxygenOS.

The update fixes an issue with the double-tap to unlock feature that is present in OnePlus devices. The update also brings the Android October Security Patch by Google to the OnePlus 7T. However, Google has already released the November 2019 security patch to resolve the latest security issues in the Android OS.

The OxygenOS 10.0.5 update doesn’t bring any new feature to the OnePlus 7T but it makes the system more robust and makes the UI smoother by fixing some general bugs. The update is served as an incremental rollout by OnePlus to reduce server load, so some users may get the update sooner than others. If your OnePlus 7T hasn’t got the update yet, you should wait for a few more days for the update notification. You can also manually check for updated from the Settings if you want.

The Open Beta 5 update for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro brings bug fixes to the Open Beta 4, which was released in October. The touch input has been improved during gameplay In the new update. The update also fixes a bug related to the color of the navigation bar when the device is in night mode.

The Open Beta 5 update also brings privacy notifications whenever apps try to get critical permissions like accessing the camera, GPS, and more. Additionally, the update fixes some glitches in the Weather app and makes the Emergency Rescuer feature smoother.

The Open Beta 5 update is, as the name suggests, exclusive to beta testers registered with OnePlus. If you have a OnePlus 7 or OnePlus 7 Pro and you want to get the Open Beta 5 update for your device, you have to register for OnePlus’ beta testing program. Beta testers are already getting the update on their devices using incremental OTA updates.
