Oppo Reno 5G with Snapdragon 855 and 8GB RAM Spotted on Geekbench

Oppo is rapidly releasing smartphones for its Reno sub-brand. The manufacturer recently launched the Oppo Reno Ace with flagship features like Super VOOC fast charging and more. Now, a new device has popped up on the website of the popular benchmarking software Geekbench. This is an oppo Reno handset.

The model number is Oppo PCCT30, a 5G smartphone according to Geekbench results. The 5G variants of Oppo Reno rumored to be released in China are PCCM40 and PCCT30, with the latter handset to offer this functionality first.

Oppo Reno 5G Leaked Specifications and Geekbench Scores

A Geekbench listing for Oppo PCCT30 was available on October 15. From this listing, we can get an idea about its specifications.

The upcoming 5G Reno device will come with Android 9 Pie preloaded instead of the latest Android 10. Since it is an Oppo device, ColorOS 6 will be installed on top of stock Android. Since an Android 10 version of ColorOS hasn’t been released by Oppo yet, we cannot expect it to be present on the rumored device.

The internal storage for the 8GB RAM variant will be 256GB, which could be expanded using a microSD card. The battery capacity is rumored to be 4,065mAh with support for VOOC 3.0 fast charging to help in quick charging.

There may be more variants with different RAM sizes as well. The device is also rumored to have a Snapdragon 855 chipset, which was seen in Oppo Reno Ace.

The 5G Oppo Reno smartphone scored 580 and 2587 in single- and multi-core performance tests respectively.

Other rumors suggest that the Oppo Reno 5G will have a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a pixel density of 387 PPI. The camera setup is expected to have three snappers with a primary 48MP shooter and the other two being 13MP and 8MP snappers. It will be capable of offering up to 10X hybrid zoom with a combination of both optical and digital zoom.
