The Chinese markets witnessed the launch of two new Oppo smartphones. Oppo Reno Ace and Oppo K5 are smartphones of two distinct series under the same brand. Reno Ace is part of the Reno series whereas K5 is part of the K series.
Oppo was launched in the year 2004 in China, three years after its registration. Very soon, the company expanded to all parts of the world, eventually becoming the biggest smartphone manufacturer in China in the year 2016. The brand also received a great response from its home country China this year and was ranked number five worldwide.
Oppo Reno Ace Features and Pricing
Oppo Reno Ace is a legacy holder of the Reno series which is an affordable range of highly well-equipped smartphone models. The Reno Ace model has a battery with 65W Super VOOC fast charging set up which can completely charge the 4,000mAh battery at a very high speed. A sleek model, it has a 6.5-inch 1080p OLED display, this is further enhanced by the 90Hz refresh rate and 135Hz sampling rate. This makes the usage of the smartphone a great experience.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor is used to power this model which has a 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. To up the game, the company has also used FrameBoost 2.0 and TurboBoost 2.0 to enhance the performance of the phone. The handset has a 16 Megapixel front camera which will give the much-needed edge to your selfies. Talking about the rear camera, it is a 48 Megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor with f/1.7 orifice. A 2MP macro lens, 8MP wide-angle lens, and 13MP telephoto lens together work like magic. Some more miscellaneous features of the handset include a cooling tech, Dolby Audio, and USF 3.0 storage among others.
The Oppo Reno Ace will have three models. The first model has an 8 GB RAM and 128 GB Storage, this is priced at RMB 3,199 (USD 450). The second model has 8 GB RAM and 256 GB Storage and this retails for RMB 3,399 (USD 480). The last model of this series is priced at RMB 3,799 (USD 535) which has a 12 GB RAM and 256GB Storage. Although, for the initial stage the smartphones have an introductory price which is set at RMB 2,999 (USD 420) and RMB 3,199 (USD 450) for the 8 GB model with 128 GB storage and 8 GB model with 256 GB Storage respectively.
Oppo K5 Specs and Features
Oppo K5 is a phone for the masses who are always on the go. A smartphone that is smart yet moderately priced. The Oppo K5 handset has an impressive 8 GB RAM with 256 GB storage which can be easily expanded using a microSD card. A 6.4-inch OLED screen, HD+ resolution, waterdrop notch, and an in-display fingerprint scanner are some of its most striking features. The Snapdragon 730G chipset along with Game Boost 2.0 gives the users a memorable performance. A 32-megapixel front camera makes this an ideal phone for the new generation that’s always vlogging. The rocks quad back camera has the Samsung GW1 64MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture. This also comes with a 2-megapixel macro lens as well as a 2-megapixel depth-sensing unit along with an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens and 119-degree field of view. The Oppo K5 model variants will be available in three colors, Blue, Green, and White. The basic model that has a 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage retails at RMB 1,899 (USD 265). The second model that has an 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage is priced at RMB 2,099 (USD 299). The third and last variant under Oppo K5 has an 8 GB RAM with 256 GB storage which retails for RMB 2,499 (USD 350).
Oppo K5 handsets are expected to be available on sale from the 17th of October.
