Oppo F19 and Oppo F19 Pro may be showcasing their camera section as the USP with the 10X hybrid optical zoom technology, a first in recent times. The last one heard of 10x zoom was in Samsung’s Galaxy K Zoom mobile about 4 years back. Interestingly, Oppo had used 5x zoom in its devices a couple of years back and the current 10x zoom will be built on the same platform, it is learnt. The most important factor to be kept in view is this zoom effect will be lossless, meaning there will be no reduction in image quality due to zooming.
Some Sketchy Details on the Oppo F19 and F19 Pro
The F series smartphones for Oppo is what the S series is for Samsung. And most design and technology advances are used on the F series by Oppo, usually. Keeping that tradition, the Oppo F19 and F19 Pro smartphones are being rumored to have some high-end cameras with a triple camera setup in the rear. If this is indeed true, then the triple camera setup with the hybrid optical zoom technology that produces lossless 10x zooming could take smartphone photography close to or even beyond the DSLR cameras. It is suggested that even long-range photos will become possible with the cameras and the accompanying AI based technological support to be provided in these phones. The devices are still work in progress and are slated for release in 2019.
Technology Could be Showcased in MWC 2019
The earliest you can expect Oppo to reveal more about this new market-changing photography feature on its upcoming flagships, the Oppo F19 and F19 pro, is at the Mobile World Congress, MWC 2019 to be held in Spain in February 2019. There is a distinct possibility this may happen even earlier at the CES 2019 in January. Some documents explaining how this 10x Hybrid Optical Zoom technology works have been found online showing a periscope type lens arrangement.
A similar 10x lossless zooming technology has already been rumored about the 2019 Huawei P30 Pro to be released next year.
The wait for learning more about the Oppo F19 and F19 Pro may not be very long.
