OnePlus launches OnePlus X, new affordable smartphone

OnePlus, Chinese company launches OnePlus X, beautifully designed, affordable smartphone.

One Plus is well-known for their quality devices that are pretty cheap, and OnePlus X is no exception. Its price starts at $249 (£199). The smartphone is built from fire-baked ceramic or onyx black glass.

The OnePlus X comes with the 5” AMOLED full HD display, 3GB of RAM, 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 16 GB of storage (micro SD support up to 128 GB), 13MP rear-facing camera and 8MP front-facing camera, and a non-removable 2520 mAh battery.


This device is the company’s lightest yet, as it weighs 138 g, and it measures 140mm x 69mm x 6.9mm.

When it comes to software, OnePlus X runs on Oxygen OS, Android 5.1.1.

“The OnePlus X is a design-centric device – chic and powerful enough to fit any lifestyle,” he added.

The OnePlus X comes with the FM radio.

“OnePlus Radio brings FM stations straight to your smartphone in a way that you won’t find anywhere else. So whether you’re on the go, hanging out at home, or spending study sessions in the library, tune in and discover a whole new world of ideas,” company said.

The company is making 10,000 units, mostly because of the long manufacturing process of 28 days. The device will be sold through invite system.

The OnePlus X launches on November 5 in Europe and India, and it will be available in the US two weeks later. As mentioned, its price starts at $249 (£199) for the onyx model, and ceramic model that won’t be available in the US will cost £269.
