OnePlus Announced new Android update for their OnePlus 5/5T models

OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T owners have a reason to rejoice. Amidst all the hustle and bustle about the new One Plus 7/7 Pro, the old phones seemed far neglected. That is not the case though! OnePlus made an announcement on its news forum about the OnePlus 5 model phones receiving the official OxygenOS Android Q update. This comes as a nice move considering both the devices are presently operating on Android 9.0 Pie.

Users will have to wait in anticipation until the end of the year to obtain the Android Q update, which would be worth considering the magnum of the updates being provided. It is quite generous of OnePlus to offer OnePlus 5 and 5T phones another such fantastic software update. Most Android phone manufacturers don’t offer software updates for more than 2 years. In this scenario, if compared, there aren’t many noticeable differences between both the models, which is perhaps why the two phones would receive Android Q. It goes without saying that there will stringent beta testing before OnePlus announces the final steady release.

The Android Q update for the cherished OnePlus 5 and 5T phone will come with many exciting new features. Going by the information shared by the company, amazing features such as RAM Boost, a Zen Mode, DC Dimming, Screen Recorder, Fnatic Mode, and Quick Reply in Landscape would be incorporated. It’s an amazing deal breaker for the OnePlus 5 users, as most of these features were actually introduced with the OnePlus 7 Pro. The company, in all probability, will soon be releasing such amazing features on their OnePlus 6/6T phones.

The official statement made by OnePlus, “We have already released Android Q Developer Preview on the forum for the OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 6/6T, available. For those wondering, rest assured: Android Q will also make its way to the OnePlus 5 and 5T. Just remember, there are no ETAs.”

OnePlus has a gift for the Oneplus 3/3T users too. They just released a steady Android 9.0 Pie update promising exciting user experience to the already penchant phone. The Chinese manufacturer has been prompt with its quick and timely services when we talk about providing such software updates.
