OnePlus has two new phones coming – The OnePlus 7T, and the 7T Pro. So far there have been a lot of rumours about the upcoming phones, and even some high-res images, but in a recent series of events on Twitter, the specs for the upcoming phones just got unveiled. There’s still almost a month to the release of the 7T phones, which will reportedly take place on 26th September in India, and on 10th October globally. This latest specifications leak came from an Indian tech news tipster, and given his track record at leaking, we might consider these leaked specs legit.
OnePlus 7T over OnePlus 7
The OnePlus 7 series was released only earlier this year, and now the 7T series is here already. And everyone is wondering, what could be upgraded in OnePlus 7? Well, the new OnePlus 7T will have an upgraded 6.55 inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display which comes with a 90Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the OnePlus 7 had a 6.41-inch optic AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the 7T will have a smaller notch, which improves its Screen aspect ratio over the OnePlus 7 significantly.
The specs leaked in the below tweet by Ishan Agarwal. According to the tweet, the OnePlus 7T runs on the powerful Snapdragon 855Plus SoC, coupled with an 8GB RAM.

The phone will come in two internal storage variants – 128 GB, and 256 GB, which will probably not be expandable externally. Another fresh new upgrade is the rear-camera setup, which has a triple-lens arrangement in a circular ring, unlike the linear arrangement on the OnePlus 7 series. The camera setup consists of a 48 MP primary sensor, along with two 16+12 MP shooters, and an LED flash. The camera boasts of 4K 960fps video recording, and OnePlus’ signature Nightscape mode for brilliant night/low-light photography. The front camera is a 16 MP, and not much is known about it yet.
The phone will have a 3,800 mAh battery with OnePlus fast charging, and the phone will be available in two colours for users to chose from – Frosted Silver, and Haze Blue. Almost everything is pretty much same as that in the OnePlus 7 – an in-display fingerprint scanner, Face unlock, the OxygenOS and no 3.5 mm headphone jack. Another intriguing fact is that there is no info on which Android version the 7T series will run on- since OnePlus phones will be getting the new Android Q update when it releases. Will the 7T come with Android Q pre-installed, or will it arrive with Android Pie, ready to be updated to Q? We hope to find out more in the upcoming days to its launch. Stay tuned for more info.
