While the preponement of the key global launch event for the new flagship by a day from OnePlus 6T to October 29 was making news, there is now the disclosure that the new device that will sport an 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM combination. OnePlus had planned to hold the launch event on October 30 in New York. But when they came to know Apple was holding an event in NYC the very same day, OnePlus decided to shift its launch to October 29. German online seller of smartphones and other gadgets has already listed OnePlus 6T on its website and the price of the phone is mentioned as €579 ($664). Observers point out that this price is not much higher to the one in which the OnePlus 6 was launched.
Most Specifications Already Out
The public at large has been fed with details of the new OnePlus phone. Almost the complete specifications are now available, some directly disclosed in the teaser ads that the company has been running. The major theme being highlighted is the speed with which the phone can unlock the device. In major markets like India, OnePlus has been running its advertisements on popular television channels stressing the unlocking speed of the OnePlus 6T.
Some posts have emerged of the better camera functionality in the new phone thanks to some additional technologies OnePlus has managed to include in the device. There is, of course, the under-display fingerprint scanner that the company never fails to highlight.
European Telcos Offer OnePlus at Cheaper Prices
The interesting aspect of this listing on the German site Otto is that OnePlus has got into contracts with the telecom service providers in Europe, like Bels Impel in the Netherlands. As a result of this, customers can expect to start using the new OnePlus 6T very soon. It may happen immediately after the official launch event is held in New York on October 29.
While the price of €579 quoted by Otto on its platform may apply to buyers from Germany, it could be expected to be very similar in the other European markets as well. Deliveries may commence early November.
