The launch date for OnePlus 6 is very close and the rumor mill just wouldn’t stop spinning. By now, everything that you need to know about the phone including specifications, design and release date has leaked online.

The flagship phone from the popular manufacturer, OnePlus 6 is a groundbreakingly amazing device in many ways even though they have copied the top notch from Apple iPhone X. Most smartphone manufacturers are doing what Apple did. When a small company like Essential Phone did the same, buyers criticized it for the annoying black bar on top but it is now a widely accepted concept in the smartphone segment.

Going by the rumors which emerged first through AnTuTu benchmarks, it is known that the phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. OnePlus has always managed to acquire the latest and greatest processor from Qualcomm. This was not surprising and it is easy to confirm that the new flagship model will be very responsive. The company has always come up with impressive phones within a budget price tag of $600 yet delivered a premium experience like no other.

The rumors get interesting with leaked photographs of what people believe to be the OnePlus 6. The phone looks like a OnePlus product but it features a completely redesigned fingerprint sensor at the back and sports a dual camera setup. The front area of the phone is quite impressive with a near bezel-less display but the notoriously popular iPhone X’s notch can be found on top.

If apps are optimized to bypass the annoying notch on top of all modern phones, users may enjoy their smartphone experience without any hindrance. The OnePlus 6 is expected to have a 19:9 aspect ratio but it is effectively 18:9 as confirmed by developers. The additional number is reserved for the area covered by the top notch and any screenshot that you take will still be saved in the 18:9 aspect ratio. The aspect ratio is supported by most smartphones and should appear normal on any 1080p display.

Apart from today’s leaks, it is previously known that the OnePlus 6 will sport a glass back panel to provide better cellular connectivity. The rear-mounted fingerprint sensor confirmed that Face ID is still a distant dream for most Android phones. Going by the specifications and design of the device, the manufacturer has played it safe and they have a clear winner on hands with some minor tweaks made to the widely popular OnePlus 5T.
