The OnePlus 5 measures 154.2×74.1×7.3mm and weights 153 grams. Likewise the iPhone 7 Plus, it has a full metal body with antenna bands curving around the top and bottom edges, but currently, it can be found in two variants of colors: Midnight Black and Slate Gray. On the other hand, the Huawei Honor 9 is slightly thicker and heavier as it measures 147.3×70.9×7.5mm and weights 155 grams. It has a curved glass design and the color options are Glacier Grey, Sapphire Blue, Midnight Black and Gold.

The OnePlus 5 has an optic AMOLED display of 5.5-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 401 ppi. The Huawei Honor 9 has a smaller LTPS IPS LCD display of 5.15-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 428 ppi.

The OnePlus 5 features a Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 chipset, a quad-core Kryo processor clocked at 2.45GHz and a quad-core Kryo processor clocked at 1.9GHz, an Adreno 540 graphics card and 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The Huawei Honor 9 has a HiSilicon Kirin 960 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.8GHz and a quad-core Cortex A73 processor clocked at 2.4GHz, a Mali-G71 MP8 graphics card and 4GB or 6GB of RAM.

Storages

Both devices have been released in two internal storage variants of 64GB and 128GB, but only the Huawei Honor 9 features a microSD card slot that allows you to expand the storage up to 256GB.

Cameras

The OnePlus 5 sports a dual-primary camera of 16MP+20MP that features phase detection autofocus, 1.6x optical zoom, dual LED flash, geo-tagging, face detection, panorama, HDR and a secondary camera of 16MP. The Huawei Honor 9 has a dual primary camera of 20MP+12MP that features 2x optical zoom, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR and a secondary camera of 8MP.

Batteries

The OnePlus 5 is powered by a non-removable battery of 3300 mAh, which is slightly better than the non-removable battery of 3200 mAh that the Huawei Honor 9 features.
