The OnePlus 5 was one of the most expected and notorious smartphone launches of the year. Of course this relatively smaller Chinese manufacturer doesn’t have anything on giants like Samsung or Apple just yet, but it seems to be slowly, but surely, getting there. The OnePlus 5’s launch has been talked about intensively, and when the actual phone arrived on the market many hurried to buy it. And it did not disappoint.
OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T
But before the OnePlus 5, there were the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T. If you’re wondering why not the OnePlus 4, the funny little anecdote behind it is that OnePlus refused to attach the number four to their product due to the fact that the Chinese find it extremely unlucky. But back to the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T. The two smartphones are now getting OxygenOS open beta 24 and 15, which means that they’re in for some tweaking soon.
But this new open beta for the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T is considerably lighter on changes. In fact, its changelog is rather short and light when compared to that of the previous update that came with plenty of new features, as well as some UX improvements overall. This is a small beta, but an important one nevertheless. So let’s see what it has to bring.
The most notable new feature that the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T are getting is the new “Soft” screen calibration mode. The update also comes with optimized clearing of recent apps and new boot animation, as well as minor bug fixed and an update for the Community app. The Community app is now version 1.9.5, in case you’re wondering.
