It will be the MWC 2019 at Barcelona that HMD Global, the Finnish company that owns the Nokia brand, will make the official announcement of its next flagship, the Nokia 9 PureView. The information has come directly from the company’s Chief Product Officer in the form of a tweet. The key talking point about this new device is obviously the camera setup on the rear panel. It has hexagonal shaped arrangement with the five cameras and the flash symmetrically placed.

Most Likely Specifications of the Nokia 9 PureView

There has been no official revelation of the full specifications of the new phone from Nokia. However, based on information collected from different sources, it is speculated that the phone will sport a 5.99 inch AMOLED display and the aspect ratio will be 18:9. The screen resolution is described as Quad HD.

The Nokia 9 PureView is rumored to be fitted with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC processor and will have 6 GB of RAM for support. The onboard storage is predicted to be 128 GB and the Android Pie is the operating system that will run the phone. A 4150 mAh battery with wireless charging support is also rumored to be part of the specifications of the next flagship from Nokia. Nokia 9 PureView is expected to sport an in-display fingerprint sensor, a first for the Nokia phones.

A Netherlands based website believes the Nokia 9 PureView will be priced in Europe at €750 (roughly $850). But most of these details are in the form of speculation and you will have to wait for at least a month to know the details.

The industry observers are hoping that HMD Global will send out formal invites before the event so that more information may be forthcoming.

Meanwhile, it is expected that besides the Nokia 9 PureView smartphone, there may be a couple of more models the company may showcase and release later. These include the Nokia 6.2 and the Nokia 8.1 Plus. Both these phones are being predicted to have identical 6.2-inch displays and may have RAM choices of 4 GB and 6 GB. More details are not available.
