The Matrix is one of the most iconic movies in the history of cinematography. However, while the film is supposed to portray a futuristic world, the technology from it can be considered outdated when you compare it with what we have nowadays.
This might even be the reasons why the phone used by Neo in the Matrix, does not look that futuristic at the moment. And that is also because it lacks performance. Such a phone needed to be reloaded, and that is exactly what happened to Nokia 8110.
The aspect of the phone will pretty similar with the original, and its unique design will be obviously maintained. According to TheGuardian, that is because Nokia decided to take advantage of the popularity of this model, but there will be some minor enhancements. For example, the device will come with a larger display and it will look sleeker.
Users will continue to be able to slide-out the keyboard. It is also worth mentioning that the new version also has a 2 mega pixel camera on the back and a LED flash. On the outside we can also spot a microUSB 2.0 connector, and the is also access to remove the 1,500 mAh battery.
The new reloaded Nokia 8110 will be produced by HDM Global, in an attempt to make this device more modern. There aren’t many major changes, but for some this might represent an advantage as well.
The phone will come with 512 of RAM and a dual-core 1.1GHz Qualcomm 205 processor. The device will also have 4 GB of internal storage, and it will run the “Smart Feature OS” powered by KaiOS. Finally, the phone will be able to play AAC, AMR, MP3, MIDI, and Vorbis files.
