Nokia has been working with HDM Global to make the Nokia brand great again and they used two important strategies: listening to consumer feedback and making Android operating devices. A couple of weeks ago Nokia 6 and Nokia 7 were released with Android Nougat and now they have been upgraded to Android Oreo.
Nokia 6 (2018) and Nokia 7 received the OTA update
Nokia’s Weibo page posted an update in which it announced followers that the new Nokia 6 and Nokia 7 received the Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. It was not specified whether or not the update brings support for Project Treble. Project Treble is Google’s modular upgrade created to make the Android updating process faster. Some manufacturers have already adopted Project Tremble, such as Huawei.
Specs and features of Nokia 6 and Nokia 7
Both devices operate with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 (SoC), 3,000 mAh batteries and 4GB of RAM memory. Nokia 6 has a bigger display: a 5.5-inch screen with Full HD resolution. Nokia 5 has a 5.2 inch display Full HD resolution. For now, both devices are China exclusive and unfortunately, this means the devices will feature Android Nougat for their global release.
Rumor has it that the nest country on Nokia’s list is India and it is expected to happen by the end of this month.
