Extremely cheap phones aren’t the biggest trend today, but they exist and some people still appreciate them. After all, if you don’t expect a phone to do a lot of things at once, or you don’t expect it to have more robust features than just the basic one, then there’s no need for you to spend a lot of money on such a device. For those of you out there that prefer dirt cheap phones that are at a basic level, we have a very handy comparison to help you make a choice: the Reliance JioPhone versus the Nokia 105.
The Cheap Battle
The two phones look really similar and they’re both incredibly cheap, but this is where their similarities stop. The Reliance JioPhone has a 2.4-inch QVGA display, while the Nokia 105 is even smaller with its 1.8-inch one. The Reliance JioPhone also supports microSD support to expand its tiny memory, while with the Nokia 105 you’d have to make do with just 4MB of internal storage.
The Reliance JioPhone has a lot more robust features, such as a basic operating system with its own Msic, Cinema, TV and Chat programs. So you can use it together with other Reliance JioPhone users. The Nokia 105 doesn’t even have that, so the lack of Facebook or WhatsApp support on it is much more harshly felt.
The Reliance JioPhone also supports 4G and can even make 4G VoLTE calls, while the Nokia 105 does not offer 4G support. In fact, it doesn’t even offer 3G support or HSPA+. It runs on the old fashioned and extremely aging and decrepit 2G network. So Reliance JioPhone is the best phone here, and it’s still a very cheap one. Therefore, if you must get a cheap phone, get the Reliance JioPhone.
