Earlier this week, Apple confirmed that it will be organizing a special event on April 20. While not much is known about this event, tech experts and fans believe that the Cupertino-based tech giant will launch a bunch of new products, including the new iPad Pro models, during the course of the event. Many are of the opinion that through this event, Apple will set the tone for the annual developers’ conference that is scheduled to be held in June this year.
The media invitation sent across by Apple was fairly cryptic in nature. It read ‘Spring Loaded’ and didn’t offer any information about what one could expect from this event. What is known though is the fact that the event will be organized on Apple’s campus in Cupertino and will be live-streamed on its official website.
A while ago, Apple’s virtual assistant Siri, almost accidentally revealed the decision of the company to organize an event next Tuesday. This was quite surprising as Siri is known to be quite tight-lipped about the plans and strategies being made by the internal team at Apple. Maybe, it was a result of a technical snag at the company’s end.
When journalists working with Reuters quizzed Siri about the next event that Apple will be organizing for showcasing its iPhone models, Siri stated, “the special event is on Tuesday, April 20th, at Apple Park in Cupertino, CA. You can get all the details on Apple.”
Traditionally, Apple introduces new hardware in the market mostly in the month of March. After that, it proceeds towards putting out the latest version of its iOS software during the annual developers’ conference.
Apple has not hosted any product launch events this year but if the reports published on some of the tech news websites are to be believed, the tech giant might introduce new iPad Pro models along with AirTags at this event.
Apple is known to host large-scale events with numerous journalists in attendance. They have been organizing virtual events since 2020 owing to the Covid-19 situation. In the recent past, with lockdown restrictions easing up in most countries, many large organizations started hosting live events in the presence of a large number of people again. It remains to be seen if Apple will get back to organizing those ‘big events’ in the next couple of months.
